Do I need an electrician or any wiring?
No. The solar panel charges the light on its own — no wiring, no switches, no electrician. Mount it and you’re done.
About 8–12 hours, depending on which of the four modes you use and how often motion triggers the light. Motion-only mode stretches a charge the furthest.
Bright enough to light a circle about 13 ft (4 m) across — roughly three flashlights pointed at the ground. That covers a typical entry, the step and the ground beside the house.
Yes, but more slowly. Charging depends on direct sun, season, weather and the mounting angle, so mount the panel where it gets consistent daylight and is not permanently shaded.
No. Use the adhesive pad for a no-drill install, or the corrosion-resistant screws for a permanent hold. Both work on clapboard, shingle, brick and smooth siding.
Any stainless steel near the ocean — on boats, railings, or lights — can develop light brown surface spots over time. They wipe off with fresh water and a soft cloth: it’s a surface deposit, not corrosion of the metal. Structural rust-through is covered for five years by our Rust-Through Promise.
